Travel Grant Awards

FIMSA International Travel Awards / ASI Sponsored Travel Bursaries

The FIMSA International Travel Award is sponsored by FIMSA and ASI Sponsored Travel Bursaries is sponsored by Australasian Society for Immunology to support attendees from FIMSA member countries who are presenting their work at the FIMSA 2018 conference.

  • Each awardee will receive 1,000 USD for travel support.
  • Eligibility for the FIMSA International Travel award application includes the applicant to:
  1. Either a postgraduate student or postdoctoral fellow who have finished their PhD for no more than 5 years
  2. Travelling from FIMSA member countries* (with the exception of Thailand, please refer to the AAIAT travel award)
  3. Abstract have been accepted for presentation at FIMSA2018
  • Recipients of the FIMSA International Travel award must register and present their work at FIMSA 2018 and be present during the closing ceremony for the award ceremony.
  • Up to 10 awardees from abstracts submitted for the awards.

*Current members include Australia & New Zealand, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Japan, Korea, Papua New Guinea, Singapore and Sri Lanka

AAIAT Awards

The AAIAT Award aims to encourage local postgraduate students and junior postdoctoral fellows to attend the conference.

  • Each awardee will receive registration fee waiver.
  • Eligibility for AAIAT award application includes the applicant to:
  1. Be a current member of AAIAT
  2. Either a postgraduate student or postdoctoral fellow who have finished their PhD for no more than 5 years
  3. Abstract have been accepted for presentation at FIMSA2018
  • Recipients of the AAIAT award must register and present their work at FIMSA 2018 and be present during the closing ceremony for the award ceremony.
  • Travel and accommodation costs are not included in the AAIAT award.
  • Up to 15 awardees will be selected based on the merits of their abstract submission

Documents required for FIMSA Travel Award and AAIAT award application:

1) Curriculum vitae of the applicant.

2) Copy of Notification for abstract submission via e-mail.

3) A recommendation letter from applicant’s supervisor/academic advisor.

4) All documents must be sent to the Conference Secretariat via e-mail, before 30 June 2018.

 

**All decisions made by FIMSA2018 organizing committee regarding awards are final.

Application deadline:     30 June 2018

Result Announcement:  Results will be announced on the website of FIMSA 2018 in July 2018.

Award Ceremony:          The ceremony of Travel Grant Award will be held in closing ceremony on 13 November 2018
